Are you willing to send a Birthday card to make a young cancer patient happy?

Seven year old Shane Bernier is a brave cancer patient. His wish is to set a world record for receiving the most Birthday cards. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. Many people from around the world are sending cards to Shane. He doesn't need to hear about his cancer, just a sincere Birthday wish for a sweet little boy. His Birthday is May 30th, but we can start sending the cards now. What do you say is this a good way to use 'Answers?'.

Are you willing to send a Birthday card to make a young cancer patient happy?
Yes I shall do this tomorrow!

I just searched for his name on google and he has a website and there is also an article on Wikipedia. I include these links so that ppl can see its a genuine appeal. Could increase its impact and help Shane to achieve his goal!

Thanks for this and Good luck Shane!
Reply:I will have my wife send this to the MANY lists that she is on.

Let's see if we can swamp him with Birthday cards!
Reply:I really think that this is a wonderful idea. This young fellow has cancer, but he still has a goal in life. As a parent myself, this makes me feel just wonderful. All my prayers and thoughts are sent to him along with a B-day card on it's way. May God Bless this child and his family and the one that posted the question. Not only am I sending a card all three of my children will send one a piece. I am also going to send an e-mail of this to all my friends and family. Hope he makes his goal.
Reply:My country's post service is lame and I haven't used it since internet exist. I really love to send a birthday greeting to Shane. Is email okay? If yes, please inform me his email address. Thank you.

Reply:Hes got one coming from me. In fact Ill send a few to him.

My son passed away from cancer at just two years old. He was too young to completely realize what was happening but its a great idea and everyone should help. For the rude responses you really should consider getting a life. These are precious children and it will cost less then a dollar.
Reply:Yeah, i'll send him a card only because if this is true and not a joke it would make him happy. I am NOT gonna put a return address on it though. If this is true, I hope Shane recovers from his cancer, I really do, it's a terrible thing to go through. Take care and good luck.
Reply:like i believed you
Reply:Thats so sweet of you! I knew a girl who had cancer she was 8, she was the sweetest thing ever, unfortunately she didn't make it but I know she's in a better place. I'll be praying for Shane!

good luck!
Reply:Thanks for the post. Is he turning 7 or 8?

Is he turning 7 on his birthday?
Reply:I will send one from Ohio!!! I think it is a great idea!
Reply:Just a caution, the Guiness World Record is currently held by a 'boy' named Craig Shergold who was also 'dying' from a brain tumor. He didn't die, he survived and is now 22 years old and cards are still coming. Shergold surpassed 350 million cards and the Guiness people retired the category.

Shergold and his family have begged people for 15 years to stop sending cards, but their wishes are ignored.

People should be careful what they wish for.
