How would i go about making cards (birthday, thank you, retirement)?
Start with family, and give out the cards for the different occasions..throw it in that you made the cards especially if the people really like them. Think about making a ton of cards and going to a street fair, or town festival..it usually doesn't cost too much especially for the smaller fairs...but you have to start somewhere...And then once you have gone to at least one fair...contact a card company you would like to work for and see if they are interested..Sometimes Small stores are looking for artists and want to have Locals supplying the shop..So just keep trying...Good luck.
Reply:Go to a craft shop and buy the basics.

Card blanks

glue

some nice papers or card

floral decorations or buttons

get a pair of scissors decide on a colour scheme, cut, glue and assemble. There are loads of books, web sites and info out there. You could also buy a card making programme for your PC, for that you would also need a reasonable printer.
Reply:In addition to the previous answers - both of which were good, BTW - you could also check out Yahoo Photos! The have a site where you can take pictures that you've posted to your albums there and have them make into cards, calendars, mugs, mouse pads.......
