Why do people not give birthday cards in the morning why wait till the afternoon and evening?

That's a damn good question. Today is my birthday, and I have to wait all freakin' day for my cards, gifts, etc.

Why do people not give birthday cards in the morning why wait till the afternoon and evening?
Is this serious? You don't know people who give birthday cards in the morning? Well, I know some people who would actually feel something's wrong if you meet them in the morning and you wait until the afternoon or evening to give them a birthday card. I usually give a birthday card in the morning, or whenever I meet the person for the first time on his/her birthday.
Reply:probably because the birthday party is in the afternoon or evening? And usually you get all your cards at once?
Reply:Why wait until night/afternoon?
Reply:At our age, we might not make it till afternoon, much less the evening.
Reply:that is a personal choice---up to the giver
Reply:I never heard that before. I think you should always make sure the person who's birthday it is, has the card first thing, to make them feel happy and loved.
