How could I make a birthday card that is a puzzle to open?

I'm thinking of something like a paper folding puzzle, and the only way to see the message inside is to figure out a way to open the puzzle. How can I do this at home?

If you can't come up with a real paper folding puzzle, you can fake it pretty easily. "Wrap" the card in several envelopes or layers of paper. One buttons shut, another is taped or tied, another has tabs that must be pulled out to get to the next layer, etc. Have a blast designing this. It had better be a darned nice birthday card, of course -- or have a gift card in it, too -- once the recipient gets through all the layers. If it's a hit, someone will make one for you, too, so watch out!

This is also a good idea for wrapping a small gift.
Reply:On the back too?? Oh, that's just cruel. :)
Reply:You could always have a card open to the left instead of the right.
Reply:Well, I'm not quite sure how to do that. B ut if you live near an AC Moores or Michaels, or any other craft store, you can purchase blank card size puzzles that you can write on when put together, then jumble the pieces and mail in and enevelope. For added fun, write something on the back, too!!
Reply:Go to jigzone.com. You can make a puzzle on there. It's a great site.
Reply:Google- origami
