How long are you suppose to keep greeting cards of birthday cards etc. before you throw them away?

My brother used to burn them as soon as he read them

anytime i guess. WHy throw it away why not keep them for good memories.
Reply:right after you take out the money?
Reply:i usually throw them out the day after my b-day
Reply:I keep them about a month. Things from my husband are kept and put away. Also, sentimental letters, cards and things are put away.

My Christmas cards are packed away each year with my decorations. It's a good surprise and reminder next year when I take out decorations. As I get in new cards, I replace them and throw away the ones from last year.

You can't keep everything, or clutter will take over.
Reply:If the B'day card was from an immediate family member (like bro, sis, espcially MOM or Dad, I keep them displayed for at least a week.

As far as greeting cards in general, it depends on who sent them to me. If I really liked the card, I put it in a folder I have for "really great cards". Or if the card isn't that great, but it has something important to me written inside, I also put that in my folder in my room. It's fun to go through the folder when you're feeling blah.

The others, I go through within two days and throw away, unless I have to write thank yous for gifts or phone a thank you. (Then I get rid of the card).
Reply:It's a sentimental issue--let your conscience be your gude
Reply:take out the money. read the card to be polite i guess. wait till the ppl who gave u the card leave. then toss it.
Reply:you can throw them away whenever you want you can keep them in a box as memories or throw it away after a week. just be sure not to throw it away in front of the person who gave it to you
Reply:i keep them for a litttle bit about a month then but the important one's to me in a box with the past cards it is just up to you

Happy late Birthday
Reply:until the bomb explodes.
