What do I write inside a birthday card for my ex's niece who is 4?

I dont know what to say inside this card. So far I have "hope you have a happy birthday". I am not very close to this family but they are very nice to me and call me during the holidays and such.

I would say something like: Hope you have a great birthday and best wishes! And then maybe add a smiley face to make it a bit more personal. I think what you have is just fine.

Try Happy Birthday for a Special Little Girl.....sign your name and leave it at that. Keep it simple.

something short,sweet and that a 4yr old will be able to comprehend.

Reply:I honestly think that is enough. She is 4, not 24 and so therefore does not require an explanation or anything of that sort. She isn't going to be the one reading it anyway, so I would just put what you have, and then either love XXX or from XXX. I don't even write more than that in my 6 year old daughter's birthday cards. They don't really understand it anyway.
