How do I make a birthday card?

I need to make it from scratch, so I don't think a template would work. Do you know anything I can do to just do everything, but sideways so it prints card-style, in microsoft word? In case this helps, the layout is a paragraph on the upper part of the front of the card, a picture on the bottom part, and a message in the regular place.

How do I make a birthday card?
Ok, well first go to your Microsoft Words,

Then go to FILE, PAGE SETUP

Click on Orientation: LANDSCAPE ..click OK

Then click on the COLUMN icon or go to FORMAT, COLUMNS.

Choose TWO.

Then Click OK.

then now you can do whatever you want.

BUT FIRST....

which way are you making it?

(examples)

If you're making the one on the top left,

-Just TYPE what ever on the right side, and leave the front of the card blank first (left side)

After you done with the "right" side, print it out.

Then now open a NEW DOCUMENT, do the same thing..

FILE, PAGE SETUP, etc......

Then make the front of the card on the left side.

don't print it out yet,

now take the paper that you printed out earlier (right side)

put it back in the print, make sure it's in the correct way, so that it will print on the other side when it comes out of the printer.

Now that's it done printing

Fold it. and TADA.

If you're gonna do the one on the bottom right:

Wow, it kind of getting hard to explain now,

but i would just go with the one above.

HTH.

email me if any questions.
Reply:go to microsoft works, they make it very easy
Reply:The bottom half of your sheet of paper (or glossy photo paper is even better) is the face of your card. The picture on the bottom part should be printed upside down. Then when you fold the card in half, the picture will be right side up. Just flip the card over and print on the reverse top half (also upside down). Experiment with scratch paper and you should get it right after about 2 tries. If you have a program like Adobe Photoshop, you can make some pretty awesome cards with realy nice typefaces.
Reply:You can always make one on Word Processor and just add clip art to make it nice.
